Living precariously in a beautiful but dangerous city that has been rocked by the country’s escalating unrest and drug war violence, parents Isska and Menajem wish to relocate to Israel with their two young daughters, fervently believing that the Promised Land is calling them home. Immigration won’t be easy. With intimate empathy and escalating tension, Torah Tropical depicts the lengths people will go to improve their lives, find where they belong, and affirm their faith despite struggle and hardship.
