An Artivism Journey Virtual Workshop: “The Daily Postcard” Workshop with Ze’ev Engelmayer

This session explores how art can engage with and respond to reality. The project, “The Daily Postcard”, began in response to the war and is published daily on social media. The postcards are dedicated to the hostages and victims of October 7th and are drawn at the request of their families. Ze’ev will share about the initiative, the creative dilemmas involved, and the desire to focus on hope and optimism. “The Daily Postcard” is drawn with markers, and many see it as a ray of light in a dark time.
Following the presentation, Ze’ev will lead a workshop to create an optimistic daily postcard. Participants will create an image that expresses their personal hopes and aspirations—whether related to daily life, collaboration, or other themes. The goal is to give visual expression to a meaningful idea and creating an accessible workshop for everyone involved.
The postcards created in the workshop can be displayed as an exhibition and the creative process can be documented.

About An Artivism Journey: Art Speaks
This project invites artists and creatives to explore the powerful intersection of art and activism through interactive workshops featuring inspiring presentations and hands-on making.
