Birding 101 – Intro to Bird Watching

Bird watching can be done on your own, with a buddy, or in a group. You will learn how to get started, how to identify birds, and about the kinds of habitats that different birds frequent. You’ll also learn about binoculars and how to choose a field guide.
Author and columnist Clay Christensen has been leading bird watching field trips for St. Paul Audubon and other organizations for over 30 years. He is the author of “The Birdman of Lauderdale,” and writes a column for the Park Bugle in St. Anthony Park.
