BBYO is the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement in the world, empowering young people to build meaningful Jewish identity, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships. Through hands-on experiences, social connection, service, and leadership development, BBYO helps teens discover who they are, what they care about, and how they can make an impact.

The North Star Chapter, proudly supported by the Minnesota JCC, connects Jewish teens across the Twin Cities through engaging programs, community service, and unforgettable experiences. Together, BBYO and the Minnesota JCC create welcoming spaces where teens feel a sense of belonging, grow as leaders, and build lasting connections to Jewish life, community, and each other.

Get ready for an unforgettable summer experience! Team Minnesota is heading to the JCC Maccabi Games® 2026, the world’s largest Jewish youth sports event. More than 3,000 Jewish teen athletes ages 13–17 from communities around the globe will come together to compete, connect, and celebrate Jewish life—Olympic-style.

The Sabes Center Minneapolis is home to J-Ball, a co-ed spring basketball league for Jewish teens in grades 9-12. Players form teams and play 4-on-4 in a refereed game. J-Ball includes one or two games per Sunday during the regular season, followed by a short post-season tournament.

Looking for a summer job that’s meaningful, fun, and unforgettable? Working at Camp Butwin or Camp Olami gives teens the opportunity to build leadership skills, gain real-world work experience, and make a lasting impact on campers—all while having an amazing summer. As part of the Minnesota JCC camp staff, teens grow as role models, form lifelong friendships, and create memories that last long after the summer ends.
