A New Home, A Continued Journey. Beginning in Fall 2026, YourJewish is collaborating with the Minnesota JCC to bring Jewish life, ritual, and community to families across the Twin Cities—now called YourJewish Journey.
A New Home for YourJewish Journey
YourJewish was formed as a Minnesota nonprofit organization by Rabbi Jill Avrin in July 2023 with a goal of meeting people where they are on their Jewish journey, and offering new pathways for connection.
The group, now called YourJewish Journey, will now be housed at the Minnesota JCC, with staff led by Andrea Golden, Senior Director of Jewish Life and Learning at the JCC, overseeing the program’s operation.
Rabbi Jill Avrin will continue to attend and lead the educational and spiritual components of the programming, working closely with Andrea to ensure continuity.
Two Touchpoints, Every Month
Participating families now have the opportunity to become Minnesota JCC members through the program, opening the door to additional programming and full facility access.
Ritual & Community
Hosted in someone’s home, offering an intimate, welcoming setting to mark Shabbat together as a community.
Educational Touchpoint
A fun, hands-on gathering—sometimes in public spaces, sometimes at one of the two Minnesota JCC locations.
Common Questions
YourJewish Journey is for all ages! Our program is designed to support everyone from students to families and adults. Perhaps you’re newly relocated to the area, a young parent looking for a community of support, or an empty nester looking to connect with others. You may connect to Judaism culturally, see yourself as a secular Jew, want more Jewish friends, or have no idea where to begin. We’ll meet you wherever you are on your Jewish journey, validating and nurturing the ways you want to live your Jewish life.
At minimum, we meet twice a month—a Shabbat experience hosted in a family’s home, and an educational touchpoint held in public spaces or at one of the two Minnesota JCC locations.
