Hope / Tikvah: A Youth Arts Showcase Presented by Rimon’s Keren Or Program
Date

Time

“All of a sudden there was music. And hope.”
Hope / Tikvah is a showcase of teen-created artwork, featuring pieces made in response to a single prompt: Make hope visible. Show us what it means to you. Inspired in part by our community’s Violins of Hope residency—and the story of one violin once played by a gifted young musician whose life was transformed through music in extraordinarily difficult times—this program lifts up tikvah as an active practice: planting seeds (zera’im) even in uncertain soil, repairing the world (tikkun olam) through small courageous acts, and tending the spark (nitzotz) of light (or) within ourselves and one another. Through painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, dance, music, mixed media, and more, teens share what carries them through challenges and how creativity becomes resilience—each piece a personal artistic response, and together, a collective statement: even in difficult times, there is light. There is hope.
