After a year of shared study, creative practice, and meaningful conversation, the Jewish Arts Collective (JAC) presents Beginning Again / בראשית — a culminating exhibition exploring themes of renewal, resilience, transition, and transformation. Inspired by the opening words of Genesis, Bereshet – “In the beginning”, the exhibit reflects the deeply Jewish idea that beginnings are not singular moments, but ongoing opportunities to create, repair, and reimagine.
Featuring local artists working across a wide range of artistic media, the exhibition offers deeply personal and collective interpretations of what it means to begin again in this moment. Through visual art, writing, and interdisciplinary work, participating artists invite viewers into explorations of memory, identity, healing, and possibility. Rooted in Jewish learning and creative process, the exhibition honors both the vulnerability and courage required to start anew.
