Softening the Grief
A GENTLE TIME FOR PROCESSING LOSS, REFLECTIVE JOURNALING & RESTORATIVE MOVEMENT
Grief takes many forms. This retreat offers a space to normalize your experiences and challenge common myths. Through guided journaling and reflection, you will
explore your story, what you carry, and what carries you. You will leave with a greater awareness of how you treat yourself, along with simple tools to meet yourself with greater compassion. We’ll close with a restorative yoga practice to support rest and integration. Come as you are; no writing or yoga experience needed.

A Service of Music and Prayer: Violins of Hope at Plymouth Congregational Church
Plymouth Congregational Church has long honored a tradition of extraordinary music and thoughtful prayer. This special Sunday morning worship service weaves instruments from the Violins of Hope collection into that tradition — their voices joining a congregation gathered, as always, to be moved and transformed.

Minnesota Sinfonia in Performance
Artistic Director Jay Fishman and the Minnesota Sinfonia bring live music — and living history — to Sholom Home West in a free, open rehearsal as part of the Violins of Hope Minnesota residency. Sinfonia musicians will perform on instruments from the Violins of Hope collection: violins and other pieces rescued, restored, and carried through the Holocaust, now returned to song.

Voices of Resilience and Hope: Educational Events at Augsburg University
Presented by the Minnesota JCC in collaboration with the Minnesota Sinfonia, this sweeping day-long event at Augsburg University brings Violins of Hope to life through a symposium, chamber concert, community dinner, and orchestra concert. Thanks to the generosity of Diane and Paul Jacobson, Augsburg University’s Schwartz School of the Arts hosts an evening that weaves together music, history, and memory in one of the Twin Cities’ most intimate concert settings.
