Join Dr. Marat Grinberg for a special presentation about his grandfather’s memoir, Memoirs of a Jewish District Attorney from Soviet Ukraine by Mikhail Goldis. This fascinating memoir chronicles Goldis’s work as a detective and district attorney in Soviet Ukraine, offering rare firsthand insight into Jewish life, antisemitism, and the challenges of pursuing justice during that era. The book has been receiving growing attention for its unique historical perspective and compelling personal narrative. This event is especially meaningful as July 13 would have marked Goldis’s 100th birthday. A reception will follow. When a rival camp throws down a high-stakes challenge, Nomi and her unlikely crew must find their footing together or lose everything. Warm and funny, The Floaters captures what summer camp is really about: the people who surprise you. Parents, rejoice! While you enjoy The Floaters, a concurrent kids movie will be screened alongside fun camp-themed activities, so the whole family can come enjoy a night out. In this special class, grandparents/special persons will play with their partners (ages 7+) while learning the game using the Mini Mahjer method and colorful kid-friendly tiles. With simplified combinations and step-by-step guidance, this class is perfect for beginners and a wonderful way to share laughs, learning, and quality time together.
