People of the Book- JCC Literature Series Presents: Dr. Marat Grinberg
Join Dr. Marat Grinberg for a special presentation about his grandfather’s memoir, Memoirs of a Jewish District Attorney from Soviet Ukraine by Mikhail Goldis.
This fascinating memoir chronicles Goldis’s work as a detective and district attorney in Soviet Ukraine, offering rare firsthand insight into Jewish life, antisemitism, and the challenges of pursuing justice during that era. The book has been receiving growing attention for its unique historical perspective and compelling personal narrative.
This event is especially meaningful as July 13 would have marked Goldis’s 100th birthday.
A reception will follow. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and attendees will have the opportunity to have them autographed.
