An Afternoon of Yiddish Music with The Stranniki

January 20 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Join Psoy Korolenko and Polina Shepherd, two genre-defying, multilingual powerhouses of Yiddish music, for an unforgettable afternoon of song, poetry, and spellbinding storytelling. They combine performance and participatory singalong, bringing both rare and beloved Yiddish songs.

Performing together as The Stranniki (“Wanderers”), this dynamic duo weaves together 19th–20th century folklore, literature, and original compositions that traverse themes of travel, identity, and cultural fusion. Their performances shimmer with humor, heart, and hypnotic harmonies.

Event presented in English and Russian!

Introduction from Yulia Shteyn (Minnesota JCC) Sarah Larsson of Minneapolis-based Red Thread and Klezmer on Ice. Co-presented by Folk Will Save Us (www.folkwillsaveus.org)
