The Minnesota JCC offers a wide range of day programs to expand your knowledge, deepen your curiosity, and connect you with the community. Enrichment classes, field trips, speakers, education, and social opportunities help you to stay active and engaged. No matter where your interests lie, we have something for you.



Mahjong
Pull Up a Chair—It’s Mahjong Time! Looking for a fun way to spend your afternoon? Drop in for a friendly game of Mahjong at the Minnesota JCC! This is a space built for community, where the clicking of tiles is matched only by the sound of good conversation. Whether you’re a seasoned player or a “know-the-basics” beginner, you are welcome at our table.

Open Art Studio
Learn Painting & Drawing in this supportive and fun class for those with no previous art experience and for those who wish to perfect their art techniques. Participants may bring their own subject matter or use a still life that will be provided. Instructor, Lou Kotlarz will offer guidance and advice per participant’s request. Please bring your own supplies. Reservations not required.

Conversations & Hebrew with St. Paul Schaliach Tal
THURSDAYS • 1 – 2 PM • CAPP CENTER ST. PAUL
Strengthen your connection to modern Hebrew as you learn everyday words and phrases and build your speaking skills through interactive activities and real-world practice in a fun, supportive environment. During this hands-on course, our sessions will focus on learning Hebrew vocabulary on a variety of topics. No prior Hebrew language experience needed.

Giving Voice Chorus
The Giving Voice Saint Paul Chorus at the JCC is a community of people living with cognitive changes like Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, their care partners, and dedicated volunteers. These singers of all abilities come together for weekly rehearsals to learn a new set of songs each semester.
Professional choral conductor J. David Moore leads the rehearsals, accompanied by David Hovick Lohman, and fosters an environment of joy and acceptance, where a commonly heard phrase is: “There’s no wrong in this room!“
