Hamnet is a historical fiction novel about the life of William Shakespeare’s family at the time of his son Hamnet’s death and how it influenced the writing of the play Hamlet. It tells a story of the relationship between Will Shakespeare and his wife Agnes as they deal with their grief, the implications of Will’s career and Will’s infidelity.
