Each of our Camp Butwin Programs are designed to provide diverse, engaging, and age-appropriate camp opportunities and experiences. Each summer brings something new and different, as campers are encouraged to learn new skills, master old ones, and to express themselves creatively as they grow. Camp Butwin provides a true sense of community and campers look forward to returning summer after summer!

Galim
(Entering 1st Grade)
Galim Campers will learn about the traditions of Camp Butwin and have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities with age-appropriate programming. Activities available to Galim include Swimming, Sports, Nature, Music and Dance, Drama, Arts and Crafts, and Low-ropes teambuilding.

Sabra
(Entering 2nd Grade)
Sabra Campers will get all the fun and excitement that they remember from their previous summer at Butwin, along with some new challenges and activities that they may not have been fully able to participate in prior summers. Sabra goes on a field trip outside of camp each session, and will also get a taste of canoeing on our beautiful Lake O’Brien.

K’far
(Entering 3rd & 4th Grade)
K’far campers gain more time paddling on the lake or participating in our High Ropes course as well as an introduction to Horseback Riding. K’far campers will have an opportunity to participate in a “Late Night” each session. Late Nights give the K’far campers an additional 3.5 hours of camp one time per session, where they will get additional swim or canoe time, play a large game of Capture the Flag or go on a scavenger hunt, and eat delicious Kosher Hot Dogs for dinner.

Kibbutz
(Entering 5th & 6th Grade)
Kibbutz campers experience all the activities that Butwin offers with greater depth and also get an overnight camping experience each session. These overnights will be held on Butwin property, and campers will learn to set up tents, build and maintain a safe campfire, cook their own food, clean up after themselves, and play games throughout the evening.

Tzofim – Trip Track
(Entering 7th & 8th Grade) – CORRECTED 6/22/23
In the Trip Track, campers will go on an extended overnight trip, either hiking/rock-climbing or canoeing, depending on their session(s). While at camp, we will teach and prepare them for the experience with hikes around camp or in Lebanon Hills Park, canoeing on Lake O’Brien, and climbing at our Outdoor Adventures area. Then, during the second week of their session, they’ll go on a 4-day, 3-night experience that includes either hiking and rock climbing (in sessions 1 & 3), or canoeing (in sessions 2 and 4). Our goal is not just to have a lot of fun, which we will, but also to teach campers skills they can use throughout their lives.

Tzofim – Project Track
(Entering 7th & 8th Grade)
In the Project Track, campers will choose an activity to focus on for a week, culminating in a project or performance that they will complete at the end of each week. Campers will be able to choose between Drama, Music & Dance, Sports, and Horseback Riding.
Drama Campers will design a performance, including roles, dialogue, costumes, and characters to perform for the whole camp during our Friday program festivities.
Music and Dance Campers will design a dance routine or a practice a song with different instruments to perform during our Friday program festivities.
Sports Campers will practice a particular sport throughout the week, and will participate in a game with Butwin staff, and occasionally with other camps.
Horseback Campers will spend their week focusing on proper techniques in taking care of our horses, learning all aspects of riding, and culminating in a trail ride through the scenic trails in Lebanon Hills Park.
