Celebrate Israel’s 74th Birthday with music, games, dancing, food and fun. Enjoy interactive displays, get “henna-ed,” tour the inspiring “Landscapes from Home” gallery exhibition, join in a community sing-a-long and experience some of what makes modern Israel such a special and important place. Fun for kids, teens, and adults.

Yom HaZikiron: From Sorrow to Celebration – the Overnight Transition from Israel’s Memorial Day to Independence Day
10:30 AM NOON

Join Rabbi Yosef Baruch Fromer, who leads Adath’s sister congregation Magen Avraham in Omer, as he reflects on the meaning of the “transition ceremony,” which marks the shift from Yom Hazikaron to Yom Haatzmaut, from grief to celebration.

Yom HaZikiron: Taste of Memories
NOON – 2 PM

Gather for a virtual Yom HaZikaron commemoration featuring the favorite foods of a fallen soldier from Federation’s sister city, Rehovot, Keren Tendler z”l. Taste of Memories features Keren’s mother, Rivana Tendler, who will cook up some tasty food and remember them and their sacrifice. A P2G Program.

Exhibit Opening Reception

The Sovev Kinneret region in Israel is filled with natural beauty, cultural highlights and home to many. Through vibrant prints and captivating photographs, this exhibit brings to light the many dimensions of the diverse and beautiful landscapes of the region focusing on the architecture, scenery and everyday life.

A partnership with P2G and the St. Paul Jewish Federation. Partnership2Gether (P2G) creates a living bridge between the Jews of Israel and the Jews of Diaspora to strengthen Jewish identity and form a strong, stable and united global community. P2G is designed to cultivate people-to-people relationships, projects and professional programs between St. Paul and our partner region, Sovev Kinneret, in Israel. Volunteers from St. Paul collaborate with their Israeli counterparts on cultural, social and educational exchanges.
